This beautiful Hare carved with Celtic symbolism is based

Melangell was a hermit in 7th century Wales.
Legend has it that one day Prince Brochwel, prince of Powys

Melangell’s cloak.
The prince was so impressed by her courage that he granted
her land, which she used to set up a religious community.
She is the patron saint of Hares.
